Yarra River Canoeing - Fairfield to Studley Park and back: ** POSTPONED

Enjoy a relaxing, scenic paddle on the Yarra, including a close up view of the Bellbird flying fox colony.
** It has become clear that this event needs to be postponed. We will reschedule it once lockdown #6 ends. **

GRADE | LENGTH | TYPE: Medium 15 km canoeing circuit. 

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION:
This is an easy to medium paddle. We’ll initially head downstream from the Fairfield Boathouse to the Studley Park Boathouse, where we’ll have morning tea. Afterwards, we’ll swap partners for the return trip back to the Fairfield Boathouse. Once we reach the Fairfield Boathouse, lunch, or at least tea and scones, will be highly appreciated.

MEETING TIME | LOCATION: 10am at Fairfield Park Boathouse, Fairfield Park Drive, Fairfield to organise your boat hire.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT: Hurstbridge line train to Dennis Station (plus 16 minute walk) or bus 250/251 to Victoria Rd/Westgarth St.

APPAREL | FOOTWEAR: Runners or sandals. Light waterproof gear. Life jackets will be provided. Don't bring anything that could be damaged in water (or ensure it is protected in a waterproof container).

COST: Budget $30 per person, though the exact cost will depend on the time taken and exactly which form of boat is selected. See boat hire rates.
