Bayside Night Walk - Port Melbourne to St Kilda

A winter's night, bayside walk.

GRADE | LENGTH | TYPE: Easy, approximately 5.5 km, point to point walk, mostly concrete paths.

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION: Starting from the Beacon Cove, Port Melbourne Light Rail Stop we will walk along Beaconsfield Parade past Port Melbourne, South Melbourne, Middle Park and St Kilda beaches to Acland Street, St Kilda. We may also walk out along the St Kilda Pier. After the walk we can stop for supper/drinks in/near Acland Street.

MEETING TIME | LOCATION: 7:00pm at the Beacon Cove, Port Melbourne Light Rail Stop.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT: Tram 109 along collins Street - stops near Southern Cross Station then to Port Melbourne.  Return on Tram 3/3A or 16 from Luna Park, along Fitzroy Street and St Kilda Road to Flinders Street Station or Tram 96 from Luna Park/Acland Street to Southern Cross Station.

DISTANCE | TIME FROM GPO: 4.4 km, 33 minutes by tram.

FOOD: Snack if required and at least 1 litre of water. We can stop for supper/drinks after the walk in/near Acland Street.

APPAREL | FOOTWEAR: Face mask, hand sanitiser, comfortable footwear and dress according to the weather forecast.
