Warramate Hills Nature Reserve Circuit Walk

An out-and-back walk north east of Melbourne.
GRADE | LENGTH | TYPE: Medium-hard 10 km circuit walk. Total rise 493 m.
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION: Explore this 10 km trail near Woori Yallock, Victoria (Warburton-ish). Generally considered a challenging route.
After previewing the walk, it is necessary to change it to an out-and-back walk, mostly on fire trails. The original planned trail degraded from unmarked animal tracks to bushbashing, which is almost impassable. It will now mostly follow fire trails. The route is just as long, and with the same total rise. The scenery along this trail is gorgeous, winding through beautiful dense forest and reaching open clearings with lovely views of the surrounding lowlands.
The track can get muddy after rain, so be sure to set out with good footwear if there's been recent rainfall.

MEETING TIME | LOCATION: 11am at Warramate Hills Flora and Fauna Reserve, 7 Yarraloch Way, Gruyere.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT: Public transport is not feasible.
